4th Annual Run for the Paws 5K Run/Walk
Grab your sneakers and help us raise money for the paws!
The 4th Annual Strayhaven Animal Shelter Run for the Paws 5k Run and Walk will be on October 12th with the race starting at 10 am. The start line is in front of the amphitheater and the finish line is in front of the Rotary Pavilion in Riverside Park.
The course will go through the park and utilize the Shenango River Trail. Participants will receive a race T-shirt and post race snacks with the registration fee.
Early Registration is $20 until September 28th. Registration is $25 September 29th-October 7th
Late Registration is $30 October 7th through the 12th.

Pancakes and Purr-ses
Join us for breakfast on August 17th for our first Pancakes and Purr-ses!
Ticket price includes all you can eat pancakes, breakfast sausage, juice/coffee, a 50/50 raffle, and a raffle of brand new purses! All money raised will go to the care of our animals. This event is being held at Resurrection Church in Hermitage, PA.
Adoptable kittens will be there to meet as well!

Treasure Sale
The Strayhaven Treasure Sale is back!
Gather all of your unwanted household items and donate them to the Strayhaven Treasure Sale! All items are to be dropped off at the Jamestown Fair Ground Barns (follow the signs) on the following days:

Come and shop the sale! All proceeds benefit the cats and dogs at the animal shelter!

Volunteer Training Day
Join us for a day of learning! We will give expectations for volunteers, do's and don'ts of the shelter, dog behavior/body language and more!!
You must turn in a volunteer form to participate. Please visit our website in the "Donate" tab to find the form. You'll be contacted prior to the event to ensure your attendance.
This event is for those 21+ and not an option for community service requirements.

Ruff Ruff Raffle
Join us on April 6th at Resurrection Church in Hermitage, PA for out first ever “Ruff Ruff Raffle!”
We have over 30 baskets to win!
Tickets are 10 for $10, 25 for $20, or $1 each. Cash or check only.
We will also have Strayhaven merchandise for sale.
All proceed go directly towards caring for the homeless cats and dogs at our shelter.
Pet Pictures with Santa
Snap a picture of your pet with Santa Paws!
We will provide Santa, so just bring your camera/phone to get a picture. We request a $5 donation that will go directly to caring for the pets at Strayhaven.
We will be at Tractor Supply starting at 12:00pm with merchandise for sale.
Pet pictures start at 2pm.
10th Annual Bark Crawl
Join us for our 10th Annual Bark Crawl!
Check In will begin at 1pm at The Moose Club, buses will begin to leave at 2:30pm.
You will be shuttled by bus to 6 different establishments where you can enjoy animal themed specials of the day.
*In order to be on the same bus as your friends, please use the same email address when registering.
*Must be 21 years of age to participate. Identification will be checked the day of Bark Crawl.
Bring extra cash for the 50/50 - will be called when everyone returns to the Moose.

3rd Annual Run for the Paws

Join us on Sunday September 24th for out first Capital Campaign Kick Off Party!
This event is free for community members to attend to learn more about Strayhaven Animal Shelter’s plan for a new facility. We will have information on naming opportunities, our new building blueprint to view, and Strayhaven merch for sale.

Pet Food Give Back Day
Thanks to the Glenn and Jean Harnett Foundation, Strayhaven Animal Shelter is hosting a pet food give back day.
On Sunday September 10th we will be at the Mercer Fire Department Hall and will have bags of cat and dog food to give away to community members in need.
Each family will receive a bag of cat and/or dog food.
We will also be selling Strayhaven merchandise!
No RSVP needed! Just show up between 10am and 1pm.

Join us for our 1st Annual “Run for the Paws 5K Run/Walk and Pup Parade” fundraising event on October 16th, 2021.
This event will take place in Riverside Park in front of the Amphitheater and will utilize the Shenango River Trail. Our goal is to have members of our community and beyond participate in the event in hopes of raising awareness and donations for our cause.
Two events will be taking place - 5k run/walk and the Pup Parade.
5k run/walk will begin at 9 am and the Pup Parade will begin at 10 am.
Halloween costumes for dogs are encouraged and a prize will be given for best costume!
Each participant will receive a long sleeved event t-shirt and post-race snacks!
